Dr. Stabler was raised in Laytonsville and was active in 4H through her youth.  She joined the
practice upon graduation in 2001 and has special interests in internal medicine and behavior.  She
lives in Laytonsville with her husband, two cats, and a rowdy Border Collie.  She plays basketball in
her spare time.

Dr. Neville has been associated with Laytonsville Veterinary Practice since 1996, when she was
an undergraduate student.  She joined the practice upon graduation and excels in ultrasound
diagnostics.  With her long affiliation with the practice, she already knows most of our patients!  
Dr. Neville has a dog, a very naughty cat, and a horse that occupy her time.

Claire R. Godwin DVM

Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine 1984

Dr. Godwin founded the Laytonsville Veterinary Practice in 1988 at its original site on Route 108 in
Laytonsville.  She designed and built the current hospital, on Sundown Road, opening its doors in
May, 2000. She and her husband and two children live in Laytonsville. Dr. Godwin has special
interests in soft tissue surgery and dentistry.  She has a dog, Piper, who can be frequently seen
behind the reception desk begging for treats, a wonderful cat named Milo, and 4 Arabian horses that
she competes in endurance.

Dr.Keener joined the Laytonsville Veterinary Practice in 2000, and is an exceptionally talented
surgeon.  Dr. Keener lives in Olney with her husband and three children, and they have two very
spoiled cats.  When she's not at the practice, you'll often find her at the tennis court or at swim
meets with the kids.
